Based on a thumbnail included in the sketchbook page of the previous post. This was produced in the same style and technique as the Rakio Croc and Hogort. Using photo textures that were painted over to provide a quick background for the concept, as well as photo texture use for the creatures skin and surface texture base.
It has been a while. I need to remember to update this blog as I finish personal work. This was a fictional warthog type creature created in PS CS3 and produced during a livestream session. A page of thumbnails is included below at their actual scale, of which the Hogort creature was based on.
I have been drawing/painting using livestream lately for those who want to drop in and check out how I work. This is a creature I produced during a few sessions:
Rakio Croc - A large thick skinned slow moving scavenger with poor eye site. The original concept was based on a very small thumbnail produced with Staedtler pigment liner pens in my little doodle book. I'll include the page of sketches as well.
A Deity of death, harbinger of birds, container of plagues. This was done on 9x12 Strathmore Bristol (Vellum) paper in Pigment Liner Pens. It's signed and dated. The original doesn't contain any of the text or aged paper texture/color you see here. The original is for sale, signed, dated and will be sprayed with a fixitif.
