It's about time I went back to and finally finished this conceptual Illustration. Just an idea based on a rough thumbnail for a big brute demon, but along the way his forearms developed into a sort of crab/hand with a few additional pinchers for his fingers. I just thought it made him look a little more brute-ish.

Based on a thumbnail included in the sketchbook page of the previous post. This was produced in the same style and technique as the Rakio Croc and Hogort. Using photo textures that were painted over to provide a quick background for the concept, as well as photo texture use for the creatures skin and surface texture base.

A Deity of Life and Death, harbinger of birds, container of plagues. The Necrosis Calamus is comprised of elemental and organic features. Contained within are my love for the design of birds and nature while presenting an eerie nature to the Deity. This was done on 9x12 Strathmore Bristol (Vellum) paper in Pigment Liner Pens. It's signed and dated. The original doesn't contain any of the text or aged paper texture/color you see here. The original is signed, dated and sprayed with a workable fixitif.
